Social Causes.

🎶 My first serious foray into social advocacy came through a youth non-profit I created in high school called Conchordium. The youth group aimed to connect young musicians in the Greater Toronto Area, with initiatives including an interdisciplinary music conference, virtual choir, and a music education advocacy campaign.

✊ At the University of Waterloo, I joined my program's anti-oppression committee to see how the Knowledge Integration program can become more inclusive and diverse. Some recommendations I made included adopting UBC's model of not stating a minimum admissions average, and translating promotional materials into languages like Mandarin.

📢 After hearing about Western University's horrific sexual incidents in Fall 2021, I worked with a group of people to run a solidarity march at the University of Waterloo. Over 200 people attended, resulting in over 60 letters of support that were later displayed at the Student Life Centre.

📆 Now, I'm volunteering as a UX Designer with BobaTalks to improve the mentorship experience via their scheduling tool!
